If I were a Mole

If I were a mole,

I’d dig a big hole

That leads to the space

Of the picnic place.

I’d grab a cake slice.

Oh my, that looks nice!

Where did it go?

Only I will know

That it’s down my hole

If I were were a mole.

When I Grow Up

When I grow up,

I will invite the monsters

Under my bed

(and inside my head)

To have some tea.

I will tell the big bully

In my school

That it would be cool

If he’d sit a while with me.

I will eat the scary vegetables

On my plate

(even those that I hate)

Without a wince.

I will speak out loud

And raise my hand

I’ll take a stand

And will not flinch.

When I grow up,

I will surprise all of you

With the things that I can do…

If I grow up.

Just Give Me Bubbles

You ask if I want a party hat

Honestly, I think It’s not all that

You say, what about a fancy cake?

I shrug, just get me an easy bake

You think, clowns, puppets, a magic show!

How many times must I say no?

Please don’t buy me a sparkling new dress

There is really no need for this stress

I’ll tell you one thing my heart beats for

A tub of bubbles and nothing more!

To blow pink bubbles and watch it float

Just sends giggles down my throat

A rainbow of colors in each sphere

I chase them until they disappear

It doesn’t cost much to make me grin

Blow me bubbles and watch me spin!

I Love You to Bits

I peck your cheek,

I rub your nose

I wiggle your ears,

I tickle your toes

I smell your hair,

I sniff your arm

I kiss your eyes

So full of charm

I count your fingers

Ten in all

I cut your nails

So cute and small

I love you to bits,

I love each part

You are my gift from above

You are a work of art!
